A very Sweet Easter

I hope you all had a lovely Easter break!!  Only just getting over my chocolate hangover!  We shared a gorgeous roast Lamb lunch with Fennel & mozzarella salad whilst watching the kids play in the garden for our Easter Sunday.  Ofcourse chocolate followed....and this super sweet cake made by my sister Nic, who also crafted these cute little rabbit & chicken cut outs which you can buy from her Etsy shop..... great chocolate alternative for the kids! Mum strung up some cute bunny bunting, poms and crafted little eggs which she spray painted gold and popped mini roses in as vases...so cute!  And now already thinking of Mothers Day! May 11 everyone!

Kingstons Crib

Turning 1 is a great excuse to update the nursery (baby room) into Toddler digs.  Kingston received some great bedlinen, toys & threads, mainly in black and whites to match the cool boys room.  We love the Leo & Bella icecream lamp, Roxy Marj Lilbow Pillow doll, Minibots bobo choses singlet, By Nord Deer bed cover & our winning prize on instagram Luna & the Boy Star & Moon twin set.

Kingston's IceCream Party

We celebrated the little mans 1st Birthday on the weekend, and we made it as sweet as can be! 3 x Large pink icecream helium balloons hanging at the front entrance, Ice Cream themed Cupcakes, Cookies, Candy, IceCream......We set up an Icecream bar and labelled Kingstons IceCream Company with vintage themed posters and hanging icecream cone poms which we made using paper Poms and rolled kraft paper.  We put a little stool under the table so kids could stand and scoop their own icecream or sorbet and add topping such as freckles, m&ms, musks, flakes and the 90's fave Ice Magic!  The sun came out so the kids ate, swam, played and repeat!  Big thanks to Sweet Table Australia for their IceCream Cone inspired cookies spelling "KINGSTON", Tastee Treats 4U for their icecream cone iced cupcakes & sorbet coloured icecream cookies and my sister Nic for her gorgeous sprinke layer cake & mini icecream bunting which we topped with a little icecream sylvanian family from our collection.  The adults also got into some icecream but enjoyed champas & orange juice with yummy sandwiches, fruit salad, hot cross buns etc.  Little lolly bags filled with ....you guessed it, Icecream lollies, and choices of little rubbers, icecream cone bubbles, stickers etc.  Kingston had some sorbet and treats too, we sang happy birthday and watched the kids play on the lawn til late afternoon....actually we ordered Pizza and called it quits at 8pm! so fun!

Watsons Bay White Wedding - The Reception

Following drinkies on the lawn, the guests mozied across the road to the Watsons Bay Boutique Hotel for Dinner & Dancing.  I was in awe of the recent refurbishment of the hotel! Gorgeous open floorplan, white walls, dark floorboards, stunning lighting and most importantly some of the best views of Sydney!  We had a great space to work with so just some simple touches worked wonders!  We put up our seating plan & easel at the entrance, laid the table with personalised menus to match invites, a placecard worked as a little favour - macarons in a glass jar tied with their name in ribbon.  Each table was overflowing with the most amazing flower arrangements.....mixed glass jars of dusty millers, soft roses, huge dahlias.  We also scattered flowers in jars around blank walls and the bathrooms.  lots of tealight candles to light up the room when the guests arrived and a gorgeous antique suitcase painted white as the wishing well.  We moved our personalised blackboard sign over from the Ceremony as a nice entrance at the Reception and left full of happiness with our styling and the magical night the newlyweds had in front of them.

Watsons Bay White Wedding - Ceremony

The most picture perfect Sydney day for Jodie & Petes' White Wedding at Watson Bay on the weekend!
We hung a gorgeous wreath personalised with their names on the huge tree where their nuptials took place.  A huge white sheet draped over branches made a gorgeous backdrop overlooking the water to the harbour and Stunning Sydney views!  Simple white chairs (with a vase of flowers hanging over the edge to distinguish the aisle), signing table with more dusty millers, roses, dahlias (which you will see more of in the Reception photos).  A little table set up for the entrance with lovely details of books, bone china and Ceremony programmes.  After the 'I Do's' The guests could mingle with a glass of fresh lemonade or water from our cannisters at the drinks station which we draped in pastel tassels.  So pretty, so simple, so white...more to come of the amazing Reception at The Watsons Bay Boutique Hotel.

Sweet Icecream Invitations

The sweetest IceCream Invitations for a first bday coming up.  Yummy pastel coloured papers for the icecream scoops & envelopes.  Tied in twine the icecream can be opened to reveal the party details inside.  The trick was printing the text to fold into the cone shape!! We will be sure to show pics from the ice cream fun day!
